본 방침은 「개인정보 보호법」에 따라 논문 요약(이하 "앱")이 이용자의 정보를 어떻게 처리하는지 설명합니다.
This policy explains how Paper Summary (the "App") handles your information, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea.

PDF 파일은 업로드되지 않습니다. 기기 안에서 텍스트만 추출해 전송하며, 파일 자체는 기기를 벗어나지 않습니다.
Your PDF file is never uploaded. Text is extracted on your device and only that text is sent; the file itself never leaves your device.
논문 내용과 생성 결과를 저장하지 않습니다. 앱과 서버 모두 데이터베이스를 두고 있지 않으며, 처리 후 메모리에서 사라집니다.
We do not store paper text or generated results. Neither the app nor the server keeps a database; the data is discarded from memory after processing.

제1조 처리하는 정보의 항목
Article 1. Information we process

앱은 서비스 제공에 필요한 최소한의 정보만 처리합니다. 항목별 처리 방식은 다음과 같습니다.
The App processes only what is required to deliver the service. Every item is listed below.
[1] 설치 식별자 (임의 생성 UUID)

- 저장 위치: 기기 내부 저장소. 서버에는 해시값만 보관

- 보관 기간: 앱 삭제 시까지 (서버 측은 재시작 시 소멸)
- Retention: Until the app is uninstalled (the server copy is lost on restart)

설치 식별자는 이용자와 연결되지 않는 임의의 값이며, 서버는 이를 원문 그대로 두지 않고 별도의 비밀값을 더해 HMAC-SHA256으로 해시한 뒤에만 사용합니다. 이 값은 데이터베이스가 아닌 메모리에만 존재하므로 서버가 재시작되면 사라집니다.
The installation ID is a random value that is not linked to you. The server never keeps it as-is: it is combined with a secret and hashed with HMAC-SHA256 before use. That hash lives only in memory, not in a database, so it disappears when the server restarts.

제2조 수집하지 않는 정보
Article 2. What we do not collect

앱은 다음 정보를 일절 수집하지 않습니다.
The App does not collect any of the following.
- 이름, 이메일, 전화번호, 생년월일 등 이용자를 직접 식별하는 정보
- Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any other directly identifying information
- 연락처, 사진, 통화 기록, 문자 메시지
- Contacts, photos, call logs, or messages
- 위치 정보
- Location data
- 이용자가 선택한 PDF 외의 다른 파일
- Any file other than the PDF you explicitly select
앱이 요구하는 권한은 인터넷 연결(INTERNET), 네트워크 상태 확인(ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE), 광고 식별자(AD_ID)뿐입니다. PDF는 이용자가 파일 선택 화면에서 직접 고른 한 개에 대해서만 읽기 권한을 받습니다.
The App requests only three permissions: internet access (INTERNET), network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE), and the advertising ID (AD_ID). Read access to a PDF is granted for the single file you pick in the system file chooser, and nothing else.

앱은 이용자 정보를 판매하지 않습니다. 서비스 제공에 반드시 필요한 범위에서 다음 사업자를 이용합니다.
We do not sell your information. We rely on the following providers strictly as needed to operate the service.

- 전달되는 정보: 논문 텍스트, 이용자 감상문, 생성 조건
- What is shared: Paper text, your optional notes, generation settings
- 이용 목적: 요약·독후감 생성
- Purpose: Generating summaries and reports

- 전달되는 정보: 광고 식별자, 기기·앱 정보
- What is shared: Advertising ID, device and app information
- 이용 목적: 광고 게재 및 측정
- Purpose: Serving and measuring ads
[3] Koyeb Inc.
- 전달되는 정보: 중계 서버 통신 전반
- What is shared: Traffic to our relay server
- 이용 목적: 서버 호스팅
- Purpose: Server hosting
OpenAI는 API를 통해 전달된 데이터를 모델 학습에 사용하지 않습니다. 자세한 내용은 각 사업자의 정책을 확인해 주세요.

제4조 보관 및 파기
Article 4. Retention and deletion

앱과 서버는 이용자가 입력한 내용을 저장할 데이터베이스를 두고 있지 않습니다. 논문 텍스트와 생성 결과는 요청을 처리하는 동안에만 메모리에 존재하고 응답과 함께 사라집니다.
Neither the App nor the server maintains a database for the content you provide. Paper text and generated output exist in memory only while a request is being handled, and are gone once the response is returned.
서버 운영 기록에는 요청 식별자, 해시된 설치 식별자, 사용 기능, 처리 시간, 토큰 사용량만 남으며 이용자가 입력한 본문은 기록되지 않습니다.
Operational logs record a request ID, the hashed installation ID, the feature used, processing time, and token counts. The content you submit is never written to logs.
기기에 저장된 설정·식별자·토큰은 앱을 삭제하면 함께 삭제됩니다.
Preferences, identifiers, and tokens stored on your device are removed when you uninstall the App.

제5조 이용자의 권리

앱은 이용자를 식별할 수 있는 정보를 보유하지 않으므로 별도의 열람·정정 절차를 두고 있지 않습니다. 기기에 저장된 모든 정보는 다음 방법으로 직접 삭제할 수 있습니다.
Because we hold no information that identifies you, there is no separate access or correction process. You can delete everything stored on your device yourself:
- 앱 삭제 — 설정·식별자·토큰이 모두 제거됩니다.
- Uninstall the App — preferences, identifiers, and tokens are all removed.
- 기기 설정 → 앱 → 논문 요약 → 저장공간 → 데이터 삭제
- Device Settings → Apps → Paper Summary → Storage → Clear data
- 광고 식별자 초기화 — 기기 설정 → Google → 광고
- Reset your advertising ID — Device Settings → Google → Ads

제6조 아동의 개인정보

앱은 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동의 개인정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다.
The App is not directed to children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

본 방침이 변경되는 경우 시행일과 변경 내용을 이 문서에 게시합니다. 중요한 변경은 앱 내에서 별도로 안내합니다.
If this policy changes, the effective date and the change will be posted here. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
